9:00 am — Start with breakfast
Before exploring the town, have breakfast at the Municipal Market, where you'll find excellent food options ranging from dried beef tacos, gorditas, carnitas, traditional Mexican coffee, and more.
10:00 am — The heart of Tequis
Just steps from the market is Plaza Miguel Hidalgo. Stroll around the area for a while and sit for a moment to admire the beauty of Tequisquiapan. Directly across the street is the Parish of Santa María de la Asunción, a pink neoclassical church completed in the 20th century.
12:00 pm — The Handicrafts Market
Tequisquiapan is a basketry paradise: wicker, reeds, and rattan transformed into pieces you won't find anywhere else. Take your time exploring the town center, browse the shops, and pick up something to remind you of your visit.
1:00 pm — The Cheese and Wine Route
Tequisquiapan is one of Mexico's most important wine tourism destinations. The Moscatel Package allows you to experience it at your own pace, in your own car. Visit Finca VAI to learn about the cheese-making process with a tasting included, and Viñedos Tierra de Alonso for a wine tasting and meal at their restaurant. No fixed schedules, no group.
Evening
